Minecraft hits the Nintendo Switch

Minecraft is coming to Nintendo’s recently launched Switch handheld gaming system. It is first rolling out on the Nintendo eShop in North America, before following in Europe, Japan and Africa.

Nintendo Switch Edition comes with fun features of other console versions of Minecraft, including multiplayer mini games, Battle and Tumble. But of course, being for the versatile Switch, this version lets you play with friends in a variety of ways: get together online for some eight-player action, eight-player local play (if everyone has a Switch) or squeeze four of you onto a couch to play split-screen in front of the TV on a lone console. Some other blighted family member hogging the TV? Flip out the Switch’s kickstand and play in tabletop mode. That supports four-player split-screen, too, with players wielding either Joy-Cons or the Pro Controller.

Ster Kinekor has released the first in-game look at the next chapter of The Elder Scrolls Online, the island of Vvardenfell, reimagined within the world of The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind.

The game’s first gameplay trailer introduces players to the saga in which they will return to Morrowind and take up arms to save the world from ultimate destruction. They will see more of the massive new zone, showcasing familiar locations from The Elder Scrolls III like Seyda Neen and Vivec City, as well as some of the new enemies, armour, weapons, and encounters.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi teaser poster and trailer

The messageLOUD Android app reads messages out loud as soon as they arrive on a smartphone. The aim of the app is to keep drivers concentrating on the road and not put themselves or other road users in harm’s way should an e-mail, WhatsApp or text be received.

The app activates automatically when a car’s Bluetooth system is detected and deactivates once the car has been switched off. Since its launch, 50 000 users have downloaded it and 31 000 are registered and using it on a daly basis.
