iPhoneography gets CT date
Following the success of the 2011 iPhoneographySA exhibition held in Johannesburg, iStore and MarcForrest.com have partnered again to host this year’s event in both Johannesburg and Cape Town.
“Based on the exceptional
response to the 2011 iPhoneographySA exhibition, we are looking forward to seeing
the entries from Johannesburg and Cape Town this year. We encourage anyone with
an iPhone to enter the exhibition, as the user-friendly iPhone camera and
availability of thousands of photography apps, makes it easy for even the most
amateur photographer to take great photographs.” says Andrew Mundell, iStore
CEO.
iPhoneography has quickly
become a popular trend amongst iPhone owners, as well as professional
photographers who have recognised the intuitive photographic capabilities of
the iPhone. It has an incredible camera, with great resolution and many easy to
use features. In addition to the user-friendly camera, an iPhone travels with
the owner everywhere, making it convenient to take photographs. Whether
capturing the family pet or spontaneous moments while traveling, everything
becomes a photo opportunity. Over and above portability and a great camera,
there are countless photography apps available from the iTunes App Store to
edit and share photographs.
iPhoneographySA 2012
kicks off with an exhibition in Johannesburg on the 11th October followed by
Cape Town on the 23rd October. Each exhibition will display the photographic
artwork selected by the judges, and be available for purchase at the artist’s
discretion. Entries for iPhoneographySA 2012 opened on the 27th August and remained
open until the 26th September for Johannesburg and the 8th October for Cape
Town. Each entrant may submit up to 5 photographs, which can be edited using
any iPhone photography app.
Great prizes are up for
grabs for the winners chosen in Johannesburg and Cape Town. The winners in each
province can look forward to a new iPad and second and third place winners will
receive a variety of accessories from iStore to make future capturing even more
inspiring.
“I am thrilled to be
involved in iPhoneographySA again this year. The popularity of last year’s
event and an increased interest in iPhoneography resulted in the exciting
partnership with iStore for a second year. We look forward to judging the
entries in both Johannesburg and Cape Town and hosting both exhibitions”, says
Marc Forrest, founder of the iPhoneographySA exhibition.
