Sony Mobile opens Vodaworld store

In an effort to play a bigger role in the South African smartphone market, Sony has opened a mobile store at Vodaworld, designed to showcase the Xperia phone range and how well they integrate with other Sony products.

In a signal that Sony Mobile intends making a bigger play for the South African smartphone market - where it has minimal market share - Sony Mobile Communications last week opened the Sony Mobile Store at Vodaworld in Johannesburg. The store promises to showcase and reflect Sony Mobile’s integration of Xperia smartphones together with the wide range of Sony products within the Sony Family.

The Sony branded store will offer consumers the opportunity to experience Sony’s brand promise through interactive displays with the extensive Sony range of products including TVs, tablets, headphones and Bluetooth wireless speakers. It will provide access to the latest Sony Mobile Xperia Smartphones along with a host of Sony smart accessories.

The store will have a multi-functional role and will be used for product launches, display of our innovative Sony products and willshowcase how consumers can instantly ‘unleash’ music or images from their Xperia smartphones with other Sony products using simple One-touch function, enabled by Near Field Communication (NFC) technology.
